Butters, Blushers, Glossers

Picked up a few items this past weekend at Sephora and Walmart.  I'm super excited as these are products I haven't tried before but hearing amazing reviews.

Butters, Blushers, Glossers

Maybelline Dream Bouncy in "Rose Petal" and Revlon Lip Butter in "Peach Parfait"

Korres Lip Butter in "Pomegranate" and Korres Lip Gloss in "30 Beige"

Can't wait to really try these products.  I was iffy at first about the Korres products, but I decided to grab them.  The lipgloss was actually on sale at Sephora JcPenny, so I nabbed it before it was all gone.  I also used coupons for the Drugstore purchase so I saved a bunch of $$ on them too. I love shopping for deals.
Will do a follow-up post on whether I like these products or not hopefully soon.

Have you tried these products before? Do you like or dislike?

Valentine's Blogger Swap Gifts

So earlier this month I had a chance to join in a few Valentine's Blogger Swaps with fellow bloggers.  The Beast & Beauty blog hosted a lovely swap with bloggers from all over the world to share some love and beauty.

I was paired up with Michaela from Lather Rinse Repeat blog who was from Australia!  This was one of my first real blogger swap and I was super excited to give and receive.  Michaela was super lovely and sent me some awesome goodies from Australia.

V-Day Beauty Blogger Swap Goodies:

Beauty Masks!!!
and some Yummy goodies

Its always neat to get products from other countries and see what kind of beauty products that other beauty bloggers use.  I'm always so used to having all types of beauty products available so quickly that I tend to forget that there are endless products out there to try.  I also love getting yummy goodies from overseas.  Its hard to find international goodies here in FL, so I'm so glad Michaela included some for me.

I can't wait to try out all the things Michaela gave me. Thank you soo much!
I hope she enjoys all I gave her!

What? Who did your nails?

In attempting to be creative with my nail polish art and creating something cool, I decided to play with some colors and glitters.  I wanted to work with some pinks, corals, and purples, since it was still February and Color Blocking is so the trend at the moment.

So yesterday I went to work, and a co worker saw my nails and said "Did you pay to have your nails done?". I laughed and said, "Heck no, I did it myself" lol.  I would never pay anyone to do what I did to my own nails. We both laughed.

Anyways here is my version of color blocking, girly, glittered, pink, v-day nails:

Here's what I used:

ESSIE French Affair
ESSIE Your Hut or Mines
Wet N Wild 435
Seche Vite
OPI Dimsum Plum

I do hope to attempt more crazy color combinations and pretty ones as well.  I'm still a rookie, but learning along the way.

But anywho, I thought it would be interesting to see if it does really work.

Have you tried Glow in the Dark Polishes?

Random: Healthy or Yummy?

What to do?

I'm stuck with choosing between a healthy snack or some yummy goodies from Valentine's Day.  I know Tuesday was the exception, but could it be extended to the end of the month? LOL.  How about eating both! I think that could work out just fine.

Banana, Kisses, Sours = Yummy

FYI: Look out for Giveaway this weekend.

Weekend Finds: Dupe for Designer?

Like always I'm always perusing my Favorites stores looking for great buys and deals.  Many times I walk out with nothing, but I know that usually I'll see a good deal that is worth sharing with others or keep in mind for a later time.

Who doesn't like Designer items? I sure do but many times I can't afford them, so I look for affordable items that could pass for a designer item just not with the designer label. So again at Marshalls I happen to notice a few pairs of shoes with crazy designs and made me think twice about.

Dupe for Designer?

Madden Girl of Steve Madden

Reminds me of

Missoni

At just around $30, you can get a designer pair of shoes from Steve Madden that could pass for an even more expensive designer brand Missoni.  The similar patterns and designs are pretty similiar with their own styles.  The shoes I found are definitely an awesome deal for those who are looking for Designer Dupes.

Any good Dupes to share?

So close to 500 followers! Giveaway coming soon I hope

Ready for Valentines = The Perfect Kiss!

February is the shortest month however its filled with lots of Love, Flowers, Reds, Pinks, and Hearts!

Getting ready for Valentine's Day is a month in itself.  From choosing the right outfit for dinner, to the ideal shoes, and perfect makeup, all has to be planned ahead for perfection.  I'm, however isn't so perfect at perfecting any of those items.  Leave it to me to wait until the last minute to get ready and figure out what do to with myself.

So instead of being like me, here are some awesome choices that may help you out for Valentine's Day and those kisses!

Lip Kisses:

Red Lips

I love that there are soo many different shades that a girl can wear for their lips. Even if Red is the favorite color of this month, there are plenty of different shades of red to choose from. The color Pink is definitely not out of the question here.  Anything pink and nude is awesome for the lips as well.  The range of color available for lips are amazing which may be kind of hard to choose from.  Not sure what I'll be wearing but I do have a few in mind.

What will the color of your Kisses Be?

*Metro Chic* Sephora by O.P.I

In my last Sephora Haul, I ordered the ever popular Metro Chic nail polish from Sephora by OPI.  I know a few friends who absolutly adore this nail polish and its color.  I don't have many dark colored nail polishes so this was a new color to my stash.

*Metro Chic* Sephora by OPI

On the nails:

This is definitely a dark nail polish. I thought it would be more taupe and lighter in color, but it was pretty dark.  However, I like the color.  I'm starting to love darker colors, I just have to find the right ones to work with.  Metro Chic had good nail polish texture, wasn't too runny or too thick. It did take me 2-3 coats to get a even color which probably made the color a bit darker after a few layers.  For me its not a WOW color, but it works and definitely see why many people like it.  Its more of a neutral dark color which I see can work for many people.

Overall I like the color.  The price is average with other higher end brands just like OPI. I do have other Sephora by OPI colors and this one works just as well.  No regrets so far!

Metro Chic can be bought at any Sephora or online.

Are you Metro CHIC?
