Question of the Day?
There are many types of primers/bases out on the cosmetic market, and many different ways to prime the eye. There are creams, powders, and liquids. Mostly every cosmetic brand out on the market has some type of eye primer for eyeshadow. I've tried many...some I like, some I don't. So...
What eye primers or bases work best for you?
hope to hear from everyone soon!

Beauty Tip of the Day
Whitening your Nails:
What can you do with lemons?
Take a lemon and cut it in half. Soak your fingertips in the lemons, and twist the lemon around the nail tips for about 3 minutes. Take it off and wash your hands. Do as often as needed. This process should help whiten your nails.

The She Space *About Face Cosmetics*
If you are a fan of mineral makeup and a fan of "The She Space", the About Face Cosmetics line is being discontinued from the company. Heather, owner of The She Space, has decided to end the cosmetics line and venture into her other passion of cosmetics, her "Hope Quest" cosmetics line. According to her post in her message boards, she cited that she wants to pursue her Hope Quest line in order to encourage women and be a hope to them when they order her makeup. All eye shadow pigments are being discontinued and to be sold until stock is out. Some items may move over to the new line, but it is still up in the air. It's is surprising that one would give up the money and popularity of the cosmetic line, but I totally understand why Heather would rather follow her passion and do what is right for her. As of now, many colors are still available at $2.50 an item. I love her eyeshadows, they are amazing. Its sad to say goodbye, but I'm glad she is still going to expand her "Hope Quest" cosmetics line. So go and get them before they are gone forever.

Sunset Nails

I received a "GOSH" brand nail polish from a lovely secret santa this past Christmas. The shade is in a lovely orange color called “Sunset”. The color looks orange just from looking at the bottle, but after applying it to my nails, the color came out more of a duo orange/pink tone with a hint of metallic shimmer. The color is sheer; so a few coats would be needed to give off a nice and shimmery color.

The picture does not do justice to the nice color, hopefully I can get a better shot of it next time to get a truer color of the nail polish.

Overall, the polish is easy to apply, though sheer, it goes one smoothly and is build able. I noticed with a good top coat the polish stays on pretty well and had minimal chipping (even though I'm a hands on type of girl). I may have to check out more colors from the brand.

Smashbox Beauty Blow-Out Sale! 25%-50% off
Ladies get them while you can! Smashbox is having a blow-out beauty sale in their curtain call section of their online website. Most items are from 25% to 50% retail price. Many items listed are items from all of their 2009 collections and various items from their main product line. I'm glad to see that there are some items that I can actually use and buy, instead of the leftover items no one ever wants. Not sure when it ends, but we all know for sure it will not last forever. While you are at it, Smashbox is also offering *FREE SHIPPING* on all orders (no minimums). (I like that!) I had to think about it all day yesterday before I finally gave in and order a few items I had been lemming over the holidays. I wanted more items, but couldn't justify buying everything so, I only bought these two items. Hopefully I will get them soon and post up some pictures of the items! Can't Wait!! Here's what I got: Smashbox Holiday 2009 *Eye Wish Palette* $33 (retail $44) Smashbox Holiday 2009 *Wish for the Perfect Tools Set* $36.75 (retail $49) Run over to Smashbox and get you some nice goodies!!

Sephora says "BYE BYE" to Laura Geller

If you haven’t noticed! On Sephora.com, Laura Geller Cosmetics has been on the sale page for some time now. Most of the items are discounted at least 25% off if not more. At first thought, I was like WOW! Laura Gellar products are being discounted, what is going on? I love the Baked Blushes and Bronzers from the line, but was not too sure why they were being discounted. Come the other day, I walked into a Sephora store and saw a 30% off sign by the Laura Geller products, and asked one of the M.A.s about it. To my surprise, she told me that Laura Geller’s contract with Sephora has been up and Sephora is phasing her line out of its shelves all across the United States. That is just the information I got from the MA at the store. I figured if they are discounting and not restocking, then it must be a sign of “bye bye Laura Geller”. Remember Vincent Longo and Napoleon Perdis? (Though some items are still lingering on the sale page of sephora online.) Too bad when I really knew what was going on, there was not much left at Sephora or online. There are still some sets and eye shadows available online and at the storefront, but you must hurry, cause there are only a select few. All of the blushes and brightens are gone! Gone! One of my Favorites from the Laura Geller Cosmetics Line: Bronze and Brighten:

I love this product. Awesome bronzer with swirls of rose, whites, pinks mixed in. When I need a bronzer, I just swirl my Lancome blush brush and apply; hey I could even use it as an eye shadow, as the brown in it is perfect for a quick neutral eye color. Before its completely phased out, make sure to check out sephora.com or at their stores for any Laura Geller products at discounted price. (Products should still be available on the Laura Geller site. Please go there if you cannot find any of your faves at sephora) simplybeautiful

Hitting the Books
So with the new year here, that also means a new semester of school. ARRGH!! LOL. As much as I dislike leaving winter break and getting into the school routine, I know I must take the trials of college life and deal with it! 16 wks of school does not seem so long, but o man, it is long. Hitting those college books again is not a really nice thing to think about, it really just hurts my brain, but I guess if I have to pass the class, it is a must! So for the next few months, I usually tend to lagg on posts, but I will definitely try to keep up with blogger and all my blogger friends. Good luck with all who are going to school!

Smashbox HeartBreaker Collection Spring 2010
This collection is for all you girls who loves "Pink, Girly, Pretties, and everything in between". This spring's collection is super cute and the colors are amazing. Perfect for Spring! Going on theme of "Heartbreaker" all the colors are perfect for breaking hearts and mending hearts! LOL. Collection Details and Swatches: Heartbreaker Eyeshadow Palettes: $34 (2 palettes consisting of 6 colors and shadow palettes) "Kiss n 'Tell and Hot Date" Swatches: Kiss n 'Tell (top row) & Hot Date (bottom row) I love the colors of these palettes. Kiss n 'Tell has pinkish/smoky tones to the palette, whereas Hot Date has warm/cooler tones mixed into the palette. The payoff when I swatched them were pretty good (as known by smashbox). For $36, this is pretty good for a nice size palette with 6 colors that are great all around. Last Day to Enter my "2010 Giveaway" Winner will be chosen tomorrow. Other than that, I was browsing maccosmetics.com, and looking at their newest collections. I love looking through the MAC Face Charts of the collections, cause for one they are amazing and the use of color is intriguing. I haven't made it to the MAC Store yet, (staying away...on a no buy) to swatch the collection, but hopefully soon, if not most of you guys have seen them online already since it has been out for a few weeks now. Here are a few MAC Face Charts from the "Love Lace Collection". I love the first Face Chart because it has the Lace drawing on the face. Hope you girls get an inspiration from the charts to create your own on your face canvas! Check out maccosmetics.com for more information on the collections and other MAC products!

Sephora "Good Bye 2009, Sweet Deals under $10"
So today I had nothing to do so I went to the mall to look around. WOW the mall was packed, for what?? I didn't really get it, I guess everyone was like me and did not have anything to do lol. I ventured into Sephora like I always do and what do I see right when I walk in? Hopefully you're thinking like what I was thinking! YEAH!! A SALE!! Yep they had a table set up right in front of the store with a bunch of items for $10 or less. It was there "Good bye 2009 table" with items that were $10 or less. Most of the items were smaller items that you could pass up on, but I didn't. Items that they had were: Too Faced Green Glitter liner Too Faced Galaxy eyeshadows for $8 (retail $19) Benefit Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow x2 for $10 So I came home and checked Sephora online, and what do I find? The sale is online as well, which is even better cause many of the items on the table were sold out! So if you want to score some cheap goodies, head over to your local Sephora store or go online to get them before they are officially gone or get more expensive. Check Sephora.com for more details! I'll post my small haul coming soon! Also remember to enter my GIVEAWAY!! for 2010 in the previous post!!
