Hard Candy Holiday

The other day I was perusing the holiday aisles at Walmart checking to see what kind of gifts were on display.  As usual, there were various bath and body sets, lotions, perfume, cheap makeup and kid stocking stuffers.  However, this year, I did notice that Hard Candy cosmetics brand had a few sets of their own as well.

HARD CANDY Holiday Sets:

We all know Hard Candy has been a cosmetics brand at Walmart for over a year now.  Quality may not be like how it use to be, but for many of us, seeing the brand bring back memories.  It was pretty neat to see that Hard Candy had put out some holiday sets for us to try unlike the other makeup brands.  From what I saw, there were like 5 sets available at affordable prices.  Sets included eye shadows, gloss rings, lipsticks, nail polishes, and palettes.  Prices ranged from $1 for single nail polishes to about $10 for bigger palettes.  I did grab a few single nail polishes as they were great as stocking stuffers!  I haven't tried any of the eyeshadows or other items, so I have really no idea on the payoff of them, but for the price its always worth a try.  The nail polishes are cute and applied on pretty well, which I liked.

Available at most Walmart Holiday aisles.  I'm sure there still plenty, but Christmas is almost here, so get them before all those last minute shoppers takes them all.

Glowing for the Holidays?

We all know Summer is so over, fall is nearly gone, and Winter, well for many of is already upon us!  Saying goodbye to tan and bronzed skin, bright and glowy skin was a bit hard but we all made it right?

No need for pale and dull skin, liven it up with St. Tropez Wash Off Instant Glow Mousse.
Apply the mousse over any part of your body for an instant soft golden glow then wash it off with
water at the end of the day!

I would definitely love to try this product!  I can get pretty pale and have dull skin during the cold winters, many times I need that bit of glow to pick me up!  I mean definitely I'm not looking for tan skin in the winter, but something that will give me a golden glow without looking so tanned out and dark.  I think this product would be good for me, as I can easily wash the product off at night and also cool that it won't transfer onto any clothing.  Definitely a great product to use for anyone who's heading out to those Holiday Parties this season!

Well, with all the Holiday deals going on! I got another one for you!

St. Tropez, (Tanning Heaven)  is currently have a deal for you!  Why not share with 3 or more of your friends and get 30% off of any purchase at St. Tropez online store.  The site is also currently offering free shipping for any purchase.  See the website for more details.

Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadow

 Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadow

Discover an endless spectrum of luminosity.
Play with all 4 shades and watch your eyes light up a new way every time!

Moonlit Jewels

Flash + No Flash

 Review It:

Pros:
~ Very Pigmented, the more you pack on, the deep darker it is, the less, more shimmer
~ Cheap (for four colors and a mirror)
~ Available at most drugstores and supermarkets
~ Dupes of MAC/Benefits creme shadows

Cons:
~ Creases easily, may need a primer base

I've been using this palette for some time now and I must say its a good palette.  I have since purchased another palette in different colors.  The palette is slim and has a mirror so it is easy to carry and no need for carrying different heavier paint pots.  I chose this palette as it had all different colors which I could easily use any color for any occasion.  The colors are bright and have awesome shimmer to them.  For the price and how pigmented it is, this is a great buy!

NOTW - OPI Rumple's Wiggin

This polish is from the OPI Shrek Collection that came out earlier this year.  It is my first lilac, light purple color nail poish, which at first I hesitated to buy as I was not sure if it will turn out pretty one my nails.

Overall, I absolutely love the color!  It is such a soft lilac color, very girly, yet it is different.  I got lots of comments because it was different and a very pretty color.

NOTW - OPI Rumple's Wiggin

On an earlier post about my Ulta Haul, this polish was one of which I got a good deal on.  Overall I paid about $4 since it was 2 for $10 deal.  I wasn't going to go for a lilac color polish, but I bought it on a whim, and super excited I tried it out!  Definitely a color anyone can pull off, soft and pastel color, but catches many eyes.  I need to do at least 3 coats for an opaque look, and can be kind of runny.  Once finished, those 3 coats looked amazing!  With no top coat (I forgot), this polish lasted me about a week before it started to chip.  I definitely will look into purchasing more colors and colors especially in purples and lilacs.

ULTA HAUL: OPI & Revlon

Last week, I decided to head to Ulta since I had some extra time to shop after work.  I usually do not buy much at Ulta; I just look around and leave.  This time I actually picked up 3 items from Ulta.

HAUL Items:  2 OPI nail polishes and Revlon lipstick

 Rumple's Wiggin and Honeymoon Sweet
Revlon 035 Blush

Ulta was having a promotion for OPI.  It was 2 for $10 OPI sale, so I picked up two colors that were available for the sale.  That was a great deal since one OPI is already $8,50, so mines was about $5 each with the deal.  The Revlon lipstick was also on clearance, so about a $1.50 off retail.  With the $3.50 off $10 coupon, I was able to save even more on the purchase.  I love it when I can save some money on cosmetics.

Definintely, next time you shop at ULTA, don't forget to use those coupons, it will save you a ton!

Calvin Klein Sale & CK shoes @ TJ Maxx

Calvin Klein is having a Sale online with up to 40% off all outerwear including hats, gloves, scarves and more.
Since winter is already here for many of us!  New gloves and scarves will be handy!
Check out the sale online!

Talking about Calvin Klein, the other day I went to TJ Maxx and perused their shoe aisles.  I love that many times I can find brand name shoes there for half or more off the retail price!  As I was looking I spotted a pair of shoes that caught my eye!  I'm not a high heel lady, I only wear it out when I can or once in a blue moon, but this was beautiful to me! hehe  For $50, it wasn't a bad price at all.  I tried it and loved it but didn't get it, as I wasn't sure if I'll wear it again! Maybe if the next time its still there, I'll have to pick it up!

Anyone know the name of the shoe?

Ahh, I got to start wearing heels more often, so I can actually buy beautiful Shoes!!!!!

Nail of the Week: OPI Maine-iac Mauve

Its been awhile ladies! I've been super busy with life, work, and school.  I hope to come back full time! But I'll try to keep posting as much as I can.

Here is a quick Nail of the Week that I did this week.  I used OPI's nail polish color in Maine-iac Mauve.  Its a mauve tone colored.  A bit of red, purples, and browns mixed together.  I actually like this color as it is very toned down, not so bright but not so boring either.  It has hints of gold, but just hints.

I've had this polish for some time now, I just kind of forgotten about it! Its nice to wear berry mauve tones again as nail polish.  I've been wearing too many pinks and bright reds!

 Exciting News!!

So 2 of my friends and I are super excited! We will be starting a Beauty blog together, where the 3 of us will be sharing our love of beauty, fashion, and nails for everyone.  It is in the works right now. I'll let you know when it is done! Come join me over there once its finished.  I'll continue to update this blog as my personal blog and beauty blog.

Beauty Survival Kit Series: No. 1

Beauty Survival Kit Series: No. 1

Every girl needs a survival kit with her where ever she goes.  I have one. I have one in the car, so I can fix anything I need when I need it most.  Whether you are late for work, out to dinner, meeting some cute guy, or just going to the gym, you definitely will have times when the one beauty item you need is not there and you'll have to go without.  If there is ever a mishap with your makeup, hosiery, hem, or hair, with your kit, you'll have it covered and good to go.  I'll be posting a series of items that I have that works for me!

Clear Gloss or Chapstick

No need to go on about your day with dry lips and no color.  A handy clear gloss will enhance the natural colors of your lips while chapstick will keep them moisturized.  No dry lips kissing others, but a soft and luscious one to have.  You could even throw in your favorite lipgloss for some color if needed.

My Favorite chapstick is from the brand Softlip in Vanilla.  I love the feeling it gives and the smell.  It moisturizes the needs of my lips and keeps them soft throughout the day!  They even have a variety of colors to suit every ones' needs.
via softlips.com

Keep it handy girls! Your lips will thank you!

What do you use to keep your lips moisturized?

and many many more!

I've already been eyeing some Stila products! Maybe I'll have to get some. Just make sure that you have time left before its over. Once time is up, its gone forever!  I'm looking forward to what they have to offer for DDF Brand, as I love their cleansers and moisturizers: need to stock up! Rock and Republic????

I know I've been out of the loop for some LONG Time now.  Life has stalled me way behind and blogging is the last thing on my mind.  I love to write and think, so I do miss blogging. I'll eventually find the time to do so.

So what's the Deal with all this commotion of the Rock & Republic Blushers?
It seems that every blog and every facebook post I see is about these blushers?  I know there was a sale on Hautelook awhile back where they on sale for a great price.  So far from what I've seen its much about the hype of everyone trying them and how good they are.  Yikes for retail price of $40? not sure if I want to spend it all on one blusher, but I'm glad lots of people got them for cheap in the sales.

Now for me it comes down to a few questions:  Do I really need more blushers? (I have way too many) Are they worth the $40 or even the $24 it was on sale for?  (IDK)  Are they really that much better than ones out in the cosmetics world?

I do honestly want to try one blush out to see for myself.  Not sure when, but hopefully if one of those sales come along, I'll definitely check it out.  But for now, my $40 is gonna have to stay in my pocket.
Do you like R&R Blushers?  Are they worth it?

SExY Browns & Curls

Wow! Its been awhile since I have blogged.  Sorry! I do miss blogging, but real life is overtaking blog life at the moment. Hopefully in the next few weeks I'll back onto blogging.  School and work has been draining my energy so its been hard to keep up with all products and pictures, etc.

Quick Post:
This look was awhile back, not sure if I posted it, but here it is.  To my love of Neutrals and Browns!

SExY Browns & Curls

with glasses*
curls!

Products used:

Face:
MUFE HD, MAC Powder, Instant Chic blush

Eyes:
MAC Romp e/s, NYX black e/s, Smashbox eye primer, Smashbox liner, MAC Studio Fix mascara

Lips:
MAC Bare slimshine

Who doesn't love bouncy girls and smokey eyes?  I went for a neutral brown, pink cheeks, bare lips look to match my bouncy curls.  I was heading for dinner with the husband, so I wanted something nice and cute but not overly done.  Very easy to achieve and lasted me well into the night!

Unrelated Question:

What do you want me to BLOG about NEXT?
