"Makes Men Blush"

OPI Nail Polishes are made to last and they do!!

I recently just got into OPI nail polishes and aquired a few bottles to try out. Due to the expensive prices for a bottle, it took me a while before I really wanted to try them. I would always see them in salons or in other MUA members pictures, but had never tried them. I eventually got a few in swaps on MUA and bought some cheap ones from others. I also found a local asian spa supply store that were selling them plus other brands like China Glaze for like $2-3 a bottle (what a steal!!). Its too bad, I went back like a few months later, and they disappeared..haha..they were gone..so I guess I have to keep searching for another spa supplier.....

Review: OPI Nail Polish "Makes Men Blush"

Pros:

~ This bottle came in the new Pro Wide Brush applicator that really helps out when applying. ~ Perfect nude color with just a hint of pink- makes it look like you have natural but polished nails ~ I love how the bottle is shaped in a way you can hold instead of the usual tall nail polishes. ~ Color payoff is pretty good, takes just two coats to get my desired shade. ~ Lasts a long time. Depending on what you do daily, OPI nail polishes usually last longer than many brands out there.

Cons:

~ A little on the runny side. Its not a thick consistency so it may be harder to apply. ~ May not have the color payoff that is desired for many people ~ Expensive at about $6-$8 a bottle, depending on where you buy it.

Overall:

I would love to get more colors from OPI and especially when they come out with exciting collections. I think the most recent one from like OPI France. There are a few colors that I want to get from other collections, so when I do, I'll review them here. Other than the price, I would encourage everyone to get or try them, I do think that they are pretty well worth it.

Places to buy them:

Local Nail/Hair Salons Asian spa suppliers/wholesale Trade Secret Nail Polish Diva Hello-gorgeous Bealls Outlet (i've seen like 2 bottles for like 6 dollars, so that's awesome too!)

SimplyBeautiful Tips:

~ Take advantage of the Pro Wide brush applicator. ~ Start on the side and work your way from one side to the other. ~ Don't apply too much at one time, it will look gloppy if done so. ~ Wait for it to dry some before applying second coat of polish. ~ Always use top coat to make the polish last twice as long.

Want some Dior?
So last night, I was going through some cosmetics sites and signing up for their newsletters and emails. I came across Dior Beauty and was perusing the site just a little bit and signed up. I haven't bought anything from Dior just because it's more than my budget can allow me, though they do have some eye pleasing products. The only item that I've ever sampled was the Dior Mascara, and I think one day possibly i'll get one, but I'm still working on that. We'll one thing I came across the Dior site, wasn't the cosmetics itself, but the Dior Diva VIP Rewards Program. If you are an avid Dior Beauty Cosmetics buyer, I think you'll love this Rewards Program. Basically it's a rewards program like every other rewards program out there, just that the reward is Dior cosmetics. Per the site, for every $1 you spend on Dior cosmetics, you get one point. The more points you collect, the closer you get to redeeming them for some Dior samples and full size products. Though the products may vary at each points level, according to their description on the site of what you can get, is pretty nice. All you have to do is collect your reciepts and when you are ready to reedem, just send them in to Dior and they will send you your reward. The rewards starts off at 100 points, and you receive like Dior travel size best products in a small Dior pouch. Then the points go on from there to like 1000. I imagine that since most of Dior cosmetics are pretty pricey, you can acheive those points very fast and receive your rewards in no time. The most you would have to spend to get the highest level of the rewards would be about $1000. That's way over my budget for right now, maybe over like 5 years, I'll get there, but overall, the rewards are pretty good, and consider the quality of Dior, is pretty solid. So any you Dior addicts or wannabe's (me of course lol), get in on the program and get your rewards. Hey it's like getting something extra for spending right? I hope so! Or, you could just send your receipt right to my mailbox, and I can redeem them hehe..lol, just kidding..! More details at Dior

MAKE UP FOR EVER

Aqua Eyes -Silver- Eye liner Review:

I've had this product for awhile now, but haven't gotten around to review it. This is also my first actual MakeUpForever Product that I own. Here's what Sephora says: Aqua Eyes

What it is: A two-in-one eyeshadow and liner pencil. What it does: These waterproof eyeshadow and eye liner pencils contain a unique formula that adheres to the eyelids and resists water even under the most extreme conditions, without running or fading.

I've seen and heard many reviews on MUFE (makeupforever) products, that their products are very pigmented, long lasting, and very professional, especially their aqua eyes liners. My time spent at Sephora every time I went was partially in front of the MUFE stand swatching the eyeliners but walking out empty handed without them. It may have been due to it's price cause I just couldn't justify spending that much on an eyeliner. However, I received a MUFE eyeliner in swap awhile back and I've been super happy with it. Aqua Eye liner in Silver 8L (metallic silver) Pros: ~ Very smooth application. NO tugging what so ever on my lids and even when I swatch it. ~ Long lasting. At the end of the night I still see the silver liner there, very comparable to gel liners. ~ Bright and very pigmented. ~ Good for oily eyelids like mines. ~ Come in variety of colors ~ Waterproof. Test it, you'll see it works. Cons: ~ There aren't many cons that I can think of. So far it works for me ~ Price. I almost couldn't justify buying it for that price. $16 for one Overall: I would love to buy more, but currently I am still saving up to get them. I have gone and swatched regular colors like black and brown and they are still good. I have super oily lids, and currently I use MAC fluidlines, maybe I could switch over to MUFE liners, to cut the time of applying liner in half rite? lol. When I do take into consideration on how good the product is, price doesn't really matter, so this is a must have in everyone's collection!!. I might just have to get those holiday sets before they are gone forever... Get them @: Sephora Stores and Sephora.com Retails: $16 each.

FYI

**If you didn't get the Holiday Aqua Eyes gift set from MAKEUPFORVER for Christmas (for example ME!!), lo and behold, Sephora still has them up on their site, but for limited of time only. As the holidays are over, Sephora may only have a limited stock and will run out soon. So hurry and them.**

bye bye!!

Sorry for the delay, got a new job...so i've been super busy!! Here's a two lipsticks that I got awhile back at MAC. I usually don't wear lipstick, but thought I 'll give it a try, and venture into something that I never use. Until this purchase, I only had 1 MAC lipstick, and that was the lipstick 1N from the N collection. I have other lipsticks but nothing special. So the two lipstick I got were Ladybug and High Tea. I thought I try and be bold and get a red and get a nude lipstick, since I like nudes. Both are lustre finishes, so it might take a few swipes to get a bold color, but I like soft, and too striking colors anyways. Here I am wearing High Tea. Here I am wear Ladybug: You like? I'm still learning how to wear lipstick. I can so put it on others, but not on me. I also have to get use to wearing while I'm eating and drinking water. I guess I'll have to go do some research and find some tips for you ladies out there like me! laters!
