2009 is almost gone forever! This year has gone by super duper fast and I can't still believe that 2010 is approaching us just around the corner. So many fun, sad, happy, and exciting things happened this year! 2009 was a great year for many things in my life, while there are still other things that wouldn't hurt to be forgotten, I am still glad that I am still here and looking forward to a new year! Now a New Year means much to a blog right? lol Yes, it means that I need to continue to blog and be more consistent. With life consisting of work and school, blogging tends to be put on the back burner many times, but maybe this New Year's resolution would be for me to continue blogging. Look What I GOT!!! Early Christmas Gift!!

Last week, I got a package in the mail from my sis in law and on the box said:

I opened it up and it was the "88 Warm Palette". I have been eyeing this baby for quite some time now (more like a year) but never got the push to really get it online, even when there was a coupon code. I have so much makeup lying around, I always told myself, I don't need it, it will just be another palette collecting dust and not be used. Also I have plenty of neutrals that I use and own already, "I don't need anymore!". You can say was excited to get the palette, cause it was my first "Coastal Scents" item, and my first palette of those types of palettes. I have been able to swatch some colors and use them on my eyes. So far so good, from what I have see. Not so much fall out, or chalky colors. I can say that majority of the colors can be used in any color combination and look beautiful.

Hopefully in the next few weeks, I can get a few photos as to where I used them on my eyes.

Cosmedicine Primary Care Moisturizer

This is currently my favorite Moisturizer, in which I need to get more, since I’m almost out. I’ve always had a little of oily skin, so I didn’t really need to apply moisturizer after cleansing, but within the last year, my face started to get very dry and dehydrated. After I finished washing my face, my face was so dry and would start to get itchy. It probably didn’t help that I live in Florida, and the heat could dry my face up too. So I was on the look out for a new moisturizer. It took me a long while researching low and high end moisturizers, looking for reviews, and ever getting samples to try. I like the fact that usually higher end products I can get samples (ie: sephora), but with drugstore products you have to buy the product in order to test them. After testing a few samples, I decided to try this one.

~ Gives me enough hydration and moisture for my face

~ No distinct smell (which I like, dislike per fumy smells)

~ Very good with lessening my acne. (hence the primary care label)

~Absorbs quickly and is super lightweight

Cons:

~ Can leave a slight oily sheen on face (got use to it though)

Overall, this has been working fine for me especially during the last few summer months. It has kept me hydrated and my face is much softer and less dry. I’ve noticed after a few months of using it, that my skin as gotten so much better. (will vary)

My acne has cleared up a lot and hasn’t been scarring as much, in which I like. It’s pricey, but worth my every $$ that spend.

I will be buying this product until it doesn’t work for me anymore.

My Christmas List

Next up on my Christmas list is another set of eyeliners! Oh how I love eyeliners! I just love the fact that I can get so many different colors all in one set and just look at them. My Christmas List!

~Every Christmas I look around for items that I really would love to have for as a present. Makeup is my LOVE!! lol, but I don't ever have the time to play with it or buy them. Hopefully I'll make the time to post up more daily blogs about my Wish Lists. I Loathe IKEA!!!

I Want this or one of these Drawers!!!!

So I have been to like IKEA like almost every week! literally since they opened here this MAY. I just love to look around and discover new things I didn't see the last time I went. Though usually I don't buy anything (no monies) I still love going there and see their showrooms, and what I can get to decorate my room and my future home!! I've seen these drawers a few places in the store and omy, How I want thee! LOL. Whenever I see them, I think of how all my makeup can fit into them and not have to always stuff my traincase or have makeup all over the place. I love the one with wheels, cause it can go anywhere and its small enough to be able to push around. The 9 drawer one is omy its huge...it has smaller drawers then gradually gets bigger, which is good for like eyeshadows in the first ones, then like bottles and bags on the bottom ones. $119, I guess that's not bad, its hard to find these kinds of drawers else where, but $119 is a lot too when you don't have any, lol. Long Time, NO FOTD!!

Its been the longest time ever for me to update this blog! I"ve just been super busy and super lazy, as I haven't been feeling like putting a full face of makeup on, hince why there haven't been any pictures up of me. Today, I decided to do a FOTD, and put up some pictures since I had the day to myself and stuck at home. I know I've been out of the loop lately, taking summer classes and working hard, so I've been very tired too! So here's a quick FOTD I did on my friend. She's soo wonderful, because she let's me play with makeup on her face and trooper for doing that. Thanks! Yeng!!! I decided to go for a Vintage Pin up theme, with the black liner and red lips. Not too sure if I achieved what Pin up is, but I hope I did. I think it turned out alright, not too go with the liner, but I guess I tried. I also added false lashes in, not the best at the application, so I'm still learning to perfect that. Sorry I keep forgetting to take pictures of what I used, so hopefully next time I remember to do that.

A Little Peace FOTD

So a few weeks ago, I entered a Birthday Contest hosted by lovely mayaari It was to guess when her birthdate was, and to my surprise, I guessed right, along with a few other people. The other surprise, was that my birthday is exactly on the same day as hers, April 17th. Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque

Since I got my Sally's Card, I decided I was gonna give this masque a try. I've read a few reviews here and there through many blogs and decided maybe it might work for me. The Sallys in town didn't have the tube, so I bought the jar. For the price I paid for it, it has a pretty good amount of product in it and its a good size. Overall, after I tried, I liked it and I really did see a difference. Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque: Price: $2.99 (w/ Sally's Card) Product: 3 oz. (85g) Details: Designed to help with acne, remove blackheads, and shrink pores. Pros: ~ Price- this is very affordable and cheap ~ Cool minty smell fragrance ~ Product tingles your face, (means its actually working) ~ Doesn't take too long to dry, just in enough time 15-20 mins ~ Significant acne reduction: pimples, blackheads, pores Cons: ~ Can be harsh for sensitive skin ~ Burning sensation (can be more intense for some) ~ Jar product: easier for bacteria to grow ~ Available only at Sally's Beauty Supply or limited to some online sites only Overall: It does help with most acne and does help clear the skin. It's not a miracle product where everything will disappear the next morning, but it's close. I did feel some type of burning sensation but minimal to where I could bear it. It's a very easy product to use, all you have to do is slather some on evenly, wait for it to dry, and wash away. Pretty simple!! Welcome to the Beauty Club!!

Monday, I got stuck in traffic coming home from work, so I took a shortcut through town. As I was coming home, I was thinking to myself, and remembered that I should go get myself a Sally's Beauty Supply Card (i know, soo random). Not exactly, I needed to get a new clipper for my husband's clipper, and why not get a discount too while I'm there. I've always wanted to get one, but never really went to go and get it, well never really had a reason to go get. lol

It was pretty easy to get it, as I thought I would have needed some credentials or something in that nature. I just asked the lady, signed up, paid my $5 membership fee, and I get discounts for one year. How awesome is that!! They also have another Professional Discount Card for licensed cosmetologists.

I assume the discounts apply to most items in the store, and most will be about 10-20% off retail. I know it's only a few cents off, but hey, that's great when I'm trying to save at the same time, or have more money to buy other things. Even though I spent $5 for the card, I already got back my money since I bought some polishes and a clipper blade for the husband. I think it's an awesome deal for anyone who's wants to save, but get good products too!

Here's a very quick St. Patrick's Day Eye of the Day look! Of course I did not wear this to work, Does it look very Business like???lol... Anyways, I started off using Green, then started to blend a little smokey brown/black, so I guess I ened up with a smokey green eye look. I know it's a little messy, did it in a rush, didn't have much time either! Hope you likes!! Only the eyes were done, so don't mind my undone face and eyebrows..!
